GUIDELINES FOR APPLYING BUDDHIST INNOVATIONS IN LEARNING MANAGEMENT FOR TEACHERS OF SOCIAL STUDIES, RELIGION, AND CULTURE SUBJECTS

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) Study the learning management of teachers in the fields of social studies, religion, and culture, and 2) Present guidelines for applying Buddhist innovations in learning management for teachers in these fields. This qualitative research involved document analysis and interviews with 12 target participants, including social studies, religion, and culture teachers and social studies curriculum professors. The findings reveal that: 1.The learning management of teachers in these fields often emphasizes traditional teaching methods, including: 1) Lecturing and rote memorization. 2) Using basic learning materials, and 3) Assessment focusing on memorization. 2. The guidelines for applying Buddhist innovations in learning management for teachers in these fields include: 1) Buddhist teaching methods. 2) Mindfulness and meditation practices. 3) Application of the Four Paths to Success (Iddhipada), and 4) Integration of religious education.
