BAN KOK SUBDISTRICT COMMUNITY CONSTITUTION: LEARNING PROCESS FOR PREPARING THE BAN KOK SUBDISTRICT CONSTITUTION, CHATTURAT DISTRICT, CHAIYAPHUM PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aims to achieve the following objectives: 1. To study public opinions regarding the drafting of the local constitution of Ban Kok sub-district, Jaturus district, Chaiyaphum province. 2. To investigate the learning process involved in drafting the local constitution of Ban Kok sub-district, Jaturus district, Chaiyaphum province. 3. To evaluate the local constitution of Ban Kok sub-district by involving community participation from Ban Kok sub-district, Jaturus district, Chaiyaphum province. The research results found that. 1. Public Opinion on Drafting the Local Constitution:- Overall, the public opinion towards the drafting of the local constitution of Ban Kok sub-district, Jaturus district, Chaiyaphum province is rated as high (= 3.75).- When broken down by specific aspects, the public opinion is high across all dimensions. These are ranked in descending order of average score: Environment (= 3.90), Social (= 3.89), Participatory Local Development (= 3.68), Economic (= 3.64), and Quality of Life (= 3.63). 2. Learning Process in Drafting the Local Constitution:- The learning process involved in drafting the local constitution of Ban Kok sub-district, Jaturus district, Chaiyaphum province includes:- Promoting community understanding of the constitution drafting process.-Facilitating exchange activities to enhance learning about community constitution drafting.-Documenting mutual agreements and announcing the use of the sub-district's constitution.These findings indicate strong community support and engagement in the constitution drafting process, with efforts focused on promoting understanding and active participation among residents. 3. Based on the evaluation of the local constitution of Ban Kok sub-district through community participation, the following aspirations were identified based on the survey responses: Residents expressed strong expectations for the declaration and implementation of the community sub-district constitution. Key activities highlighted include: - The sub-district administration of Ban Kok effectively manages waste disposal in compliance with public health regulations.- Within the community, residents set up checkpoints during festivals to prevent accidents.- There is active community involvement in various local and sub-district activities.- The community has established centers for learning economic self-sufficiency philosophies within the sub-district and villages.- Collaborative efforts are made to ensure child safety within the community.
