A STUDY OF SCHOOL ADMINISTRATOR SKILLS IN THE 21ST CENTURY UNDER NAKHON SAWAN PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 3

Abstract
The purposes of this research were 1) to study school administrator skills in the 21st century and 2) to compare the school administrators and teachers’ opinions on the school administrator skills in the 21st century classified by position, education level and work experience. The sample consisted of 26 school administrators and 276 teachers from simple random sampling. The instrument was a questionnaire concerning the school administrator skills in the 21st century. It has a content validity value of 0.67-1.00 and reliability at 0.82. The statistics used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation, t-test independent, analysis of variance (One-Way ANOVA) and post-hoc testing by Scheffé’s method. The research findings were as follows:
- The skills of school administrators in the 21st century in overall was at a high level, when considering in each aspect, the highest skill was communication skills. It was at a highest level, followed by the teamwork skills was at a high level, analytical thinking and creativity skills was at a high level and the lowest was information technology skills. It was at a high level. 2. The comparison of the school administrators and teachers’ opinions on the school administrator skills in the 21st century classified by position in overall was the statistically significant difference at .05 level. It was in accordance with the research hypothesis. The classified by education level in overall was not different and work experience was the statistically significant difference at .05 level. It was in accordance with the research hypothesis that was set for 2 pairs, namely school administrators and teachers with less than 6 years, 6-10 years, less than 6 years and more than 11 years of work experience.
