The Development of Creative Perspective Drawing Skills Based on Creativity - Based Learning for Vocational Certificate
Main Article Content
Abstract
This research aimed (1) to develop and evaluate the quality of learning management plans on creative perspective drawing using Creativity-Based Learning (CBL) for vocational certificate students, and (2) to develop students’ creative perspective drawing skills through CBL and compare the results with the 80 percent criterion. The sample consisted of 20 first-year vocational certificate students (Architecture Program) at Chiang Rai Technical College, selected by simple random sampling. The study employed a quasi-experimental research design using a One-Shot Case Study. Two raters (the instructor and the homeroom teacher) were involved in the assessment. The research instruments included four CBL-based lesson plans with a total duration of 20 hours, and a rubric-based assessment form for one-point perspective drawing of an interior bedroom, consisting of five criteria with four rating levels. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, percentage, effectiveness index (E.I.), and inter-rater reliability using the Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC). The results revealed that (1) the learning management plans were of the highest quality (x ̅= 4.94), and (2) the students’ post-learning creative perspective drawing skills averaged 89.20 percent, exceeding the 80 percent criterion, with an effectiveness index higher than 0.80. These findings indicate that CBL is effective in enhancing students’ creative perspective drawing skills in vocational education.
