The Relationship between Administrators’ Leadership Traits and Teachers’ Joy at Work in General Education Private Schools in Songkhla Province

Abstract
This research article aimed to 1) study the level of administrators’ leadership traits in General Education Private Schools in Songkhla Province. 2) study the level of teachers’ joy at work in General Education Private Schools, and 3) study the relationship between administrators’ leadership traits and teachers’ joy at work in General Education Private Schools in Songkhla Province. The sample consisted of 336 teachers in General Education Private Schools in Songkhla Province. The research instrument was a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of .972, calculated using Cronbach’s alpha. The statistics used for data analysis included percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient. The findings revealed as follows: 1) The overall level of administrators’ leadership traits in General Education Private Schools in Songkhla Province was at a high level. When considering aspects, all aspects were also at a high level. The aspects were ranked from the highest to the lowest mean as follows: human relations, self-confidence, determination, intelligence, and honesty. 2) The overall level of teachers’ joy at work in General Education Private Schools in Songkhla Province was at a high level. When considering aspects, all aspects were also at a high level. The aspects were ranked from the highest to the lowest mean as follows: happy body, happy heart, happy relax, happy money, happy brain, happy soul, happy family, and happy society. 3) The relationship between the level of administrators’ leadership traits and teachers’ joy at work of General Education in Songkhla Province showed a positive correlation at the .01 level of statistical significance, with a very high level of correlation (rxy= .877)
