Factors Affecting Transportation and Customs Clearance Efficiency of Imported Salmon in Samut Sakhon Province -

Abstract

This research article aimed to 1) study transportation factors affecting the efficiency of salmon imports in Samut Sakhon Province, 2) study customs clearance factors affecting the efficiency of salmon imports in Samut Sakhon Province, and 3) compare the efficiency between air freight and sea freight. This quantitative research collected data using a questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.89 from 150 samples. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, multiple regression analysis, and independent t-tests. The research findings were found that 1) all transportation factors significantly affected import efficiency, jointly explaining 54.8% of the variance (R² = 0.548). 2) all customs clearance factors significantly affected import efficiency, jointly explaining 47.2% of the variance (R² = 0.472), and 3) air freight demonstrated significantly higher overall efficiency than sea freight (t = 2.256, p = 0.026). The research results supported all three hypotheses
