Abstract

         This article aims to study the concept of human rights in Buddhism. It originated in the 18th century with an emphasis on natural rights, the idea of natural law, and has continued to develop in countries around the world. to join the signing of the United Nations Charter Prepared as a Universal Declaration of Human Rights on December 10, 1948 (B.E. 2491), with 30 provisions, content on the main principles of human rights. on civil rights and political rights, on economic matters society and culture, and the duties of individuals, societies and the state.

         The concept of human rights in Buddhasana is consistent with the concept of international human rights by the teachings in the Tripitaka Although not directly using the word human rights But there are implications of teaching respect for human rights in various aspects. For example, all six directions are encouraged to reject evil. Encourage them to do good to each other as human beings. The dharma principles in Theravada Buddhism therefore stand in the position of supporting, promoting and developing human life to achieve peace both personally and collectively forever, and it will be another way to help resolve current conflicts and human rights violations.
