The relationship between good governance and the development of people's quality of life in sub-district administrative organizations, Loei Province

Abstract

         This research article aimed to 1) study the main components of good governance in the administration of sub-district administrative organizations in Loei Province, 2) study the main components of the development of people’s quality of life resulting from the implementation of good governance principles of sub-district administrative organizations in Loei Province, and 3) study the relationship between the implementation of good governance principles and the development of people’s quality of life in sub-district administrative organizations in Loei Province. The sample group used in the research was 400 people and officers in sub-district administrative organizations in Loei Province by stratified random sampling. Data were collected by using questionnaires. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient.

          The research results found that 1) the main components of good governance in the administration of the sub-district administrative organizations in Loei Province were at a high level overall. 2) The main components of the development of people's quality of life resulting from the operations in accordance with the principles of good governance of the sub-district administrative organizations in Loei Province were at a high level overall. 3) The results of the analysis of the relationship between the operations in accordance with the principles of good governance and the development of people's quality of life in the sub-district administrative organizations in Loei Province were overall positively related at a high level (r = 0.741) at a statistical significance level of .01
