The condition and guideline for development of the 21st century leadership skills of school administrators under Lampang primary educational service area office 1

Abstract

         This research article aimed to 1) study the status and comparison of leadership skills, 2) study the guidelines for developing leadership skills in the 21st century of school administrators under the Office of the Primary Educational Service Area, Lampang Area 1, classified by position, work experience, and size of the school. The sample consisted of 274 teachers and school administrators. Data were collected using a questionnaire with an IOC between 0.67-1.00 and a reliability of 0.981. Five experts were interviewed. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including percentage, mean, and standard deviation; inferential statistics, including t-test and F-test; and content analysis.

         1. The study of the 21st century leadership skills of school administrators under the Office of the Primary Education Service Area 1, Lampang, was at a high level overall. The leadership aspect of vision had the highest average value, followed by teamwork, communication and technology, technology use, and problem-solving, respectively.

         2. The comparison of the leadership skills of the 21st century of school administrators under the Office of the Primary Education Service Area 1, Lampang, by position and size of the school, found significant differences at a statistical level of 0.5, but no differences were found when classified by work experience.

         3. The guidelines for developing 21st century leadership skills of school administrators included vision skills, teamwork, communication, technology use, and problem-solving, integrated into 4 main approaches: participation of all parties, use of technology in management, development of analytical and creative thinking skills, and creation of a lifelong learning culture.
