The integration of Buddhist principles to promote people participation in the admimistration of Chai Waree Subdistrict municipality Pho Chai District Roi Et Province

Abstract

         This article aims to 1) study the level of public participation in the administration of Chai Waree Subdistrict Municipality, and 2) study the relationship between the 7 principles of non-immoral Dhamma and the promotion of public participation in the administration of Chai Waree Subdistrict Municipality and 3) propose a development guideline, integrating the 7 principles of non-perishable Dhamma, and public participation in the administration of Chai Waree Subdistrict Municipality, Pho Chai District, Roi Et Province. This is a mixed-method research. The sample group is 357 people aged 18 years and over. The cluster sampling method was used. The research tools were questionnaires Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient. Qualitative research used in-depth interviews with 20 key informants and analyzed data using content analysis techniques, contextualizing and synthesizing data according to the research objectives.

The results showed that

1) The opinions on the integration of Buddhist principles to promote public participation in the administration of Chai Waree Subdistrict Municipality, Pho Chai District, Roi Et Province, were overall at a moderate level. (  = 3.29 S.D. = 1.47) 2) The main factor of the immaterialism and the participation of the people in the administration for the integration of Buddhist principles to promote the participation of the people in the administration of Chai Waree Subdistrict Municipality, Pho Chai District, Roi Et Province, overall, has a low positive relationship (r=.345**) 3) Guidelines for the development of the integration of Buddhist principles to promote public participation in the administration of Chai Waree Subdistrict Municipality, Pho Chai District, Roi Et Province, consisting of 4 aspects:  ) Regular meetings 2) Respect for seniority 3) Promotion of rights and freedoms of women and others 4) Building ties to the organization's premises.
