Factors Influencing the Quality of Life of the Elderly in the Administrative Organization area Ban Mai Samakkhi Subdistrict Chai Badan District Lopburi Province

Abstract

         This research article aims (1) to study the quality of life of the elderly in the area of Ban Mai Samakkhi Subdistrict Administrative Organization, (2) to study the factors influencing the quality of life of the elderly in the area of Ban Mai Samakkhi Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and (3) to study the guidelines for developing the quality of life of the elderly in the area of Ban Mai Samakkhi Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chai Badan District, Lopburi Province. The research was conducted in both quantitative and qualitative ways. The sample size was 222 people and the target group for qualitative research was 10 people. The research instruments were questionnaires and interview forms. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, multiple regression analysis, using hierarchical variable selection and descriptive analysis.

        The research results found that: 1) the quality of life of the elderly in the area of Ban Mai Samakkhi Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chai Badan District, Lop Buri Province (overall) was at a moderate level. Considering each aspect, it was found that the environment, mentality and physical aspects were the most important, respectively. 2) Factors influencing the quality of life of the elderly in the area of Ban Mai Samakkhi Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Chai Badan District, Lop Buri Province (overall) with statistical significance at the .05 level were family relationship factors (X4), economic status factors (X3) and physical health factors (X2). The coefficients of the predictors in the raw scores (b) were .730, .348 and .236, respectively. 3) It is necessary to promote good physical condition. It is necessary to promote a strong physical condition that is ready for the planning process. Having a good personality, good physical condition, being a consultant, asking for advice and evaluating the body and work are important. It is necessary to have mental health in life. Have a positive attitude towards various matters or problems that arise, etc.
