GUIDELINES FOR ENHANCING TEACHER MORALE AND MOTIVATION IN SCHOOLS UNDER THE KAMPHAENG PHET SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract
The objectives of this research article were: (1) examine the morale and motivation of teachers in schools under the jurisdiction of the Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Kamphaeng Phet; (2) compare the morale and motivation of teachers based on their work experience and the size of the school; and (3) propose strategies to enhance the morale and motivation of teachers in these schools. The study population consisted of 1,390 teachers from schools under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office, with a sample size of 302 teachers determined using Krejcie and Morgan’s table. A multistage sampling method was employed. The research instruments included questionnaires Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) ranging from 0.60 to 1.00, ensuring reliability with an overall coefficient of 0.963 and interviews. Data analysis was conducted using mean (), standard deviation (S.D.), percentage, t-test, F-test (ANOVA), and content analysis.
The research findings indicated that: (1) The overall morale and motivation of teachers in schools under the jurisdiction of the Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Kamphaeng Phet, were at a high level. The highest-rated factor was relationships with colleagues, while the lowest-rated factor was welfare and benefits. (2) When comparing teacher morale and motivation based on work experience, significant differences were found in the aspects of welfare and benefits, as well as policies and administration. However, no significant differences were observed in relationships with supervisors, relationships with colleagues, and working conditions. When categorized by school size, significant differences were found at the 0.05 statistical level 3) Five approaches were identified to enhance teachers' morale and motivation are Administrators should implement etc., 3.2) Organizing extracurricular activities such as sports after work, shared meals, etc.
