Revitalization of Thai Phuan Culture and Traditions: Community Participation in Si Satchanalai District, Sukhothai Province

Abstract

         The research aims to 1) study the important of Thaipuan Cultural and Tradition Restoration, 2) study the activity’s model and the community cooperation with Thaipuan Cultural and Traditional Restoration, 3) study the activities promoting the community's economy, 4) study the satisfaction of the people in the community on Thaipuan Cultural and Traditional Restoration Activity. This survey was carried out at  Sisatchanalai District , Sukhothai Province and the study was mixed method research with 60 samples.  
          The result found that 1) the priority of Thaipuan Culture and Tradition, there were Puan Language, Sangkhanputoa Festival, Thaipuan Dressed Festival, Folk Games Kamfah Festival, Haekrathin Festival, Boat Racing, Weaving Culture, Buadnak Haechang Festival, Sukhuan Festival, Arbnam Kornka Festival,Thaipuan Local Food, Clothes and Product from clothes, Thedmahachart, Junkathin,Kandod and Duanha Festival.  2) the  activity’s model and the community cooperation with  Thaipuan Cultural and Traditional Restoration found that the first 3 ranks were found to be: participating in activities, brainstorming on culture and traditions, and buying products. 3) The promotion of the community economy found that the the most were buying  and selling products at the Thaiphuan cultural and tradition restoration event. 4) satisfaction of the people in the community on Thaipuan Cultural and Traditional Restoration Activity, the overview of the community people satisfied with Thaipuan Cultural and Traditional Restoration was the highest   = 4.09 SD = 5.44.
