The Development of Learning Achievement in Social Studies on the Topic of current governance for Matthayom Sueksa 3 Students Using the 5W1H Learning Method Combined with Infographic E-Books

Abstract

          This research aimed to 1) develop and determine the effectiveness of instructional management using the 5W1H learning approach combined with infographic e-books, meeting established criteria, 2) compare the learning achievement in Social Studies on current governance between Matthayom Sueksa 3 students in an experimental group learning with the 5W1H approach combined with infographic e-books, and a control group using traditional methods, and 3) assess students’ satisfaction with the 5W1H instructional approach integrated with infographic e-books. The sample group for this study includes Matthayom Sueksa 3 students from Phatthalung School during the first semester of the 2024 academic year, specifically 30 students from Class 3/10, selected through purposive sampling. Research tools used are 1) infographic e-books on current governance, 2) a Social Studies lesson plan on current governance, 3) an achievement test on Social Studies focusing on current governance, and 4) a student satisfaction questionnaire regarding the instructional approach using 5W1H combined with infographic e-books. Data analysis was conducted using mean, standard deviation, and independent samples t-test, revealing that

         The results 1) the 5W1H learning approach with infographic e-books on current governance for Matthayom Sueksa 3 students had an effectiveness of 81.25/96.67, aligning with the 80/80 standard, indicating very high quality, 2) the Social Studies learning achievement on current governance of Matthayom Sueksa 3 students taught with the 5W1H approach and infographic e-books was significantly higher than that of the control group, at a significance level of .05 and, and 3) Matthayom Sueksa 3 students overall satisfaction with the 5W1H approach combined with infographic e-books  was high.
