Abstract

         The objectives of the research article were: 1) to study the condition of excellent religious heirs, 2) to study the guidelines for developing the quality of learners into excellent religious heirs, and 3) to propose the guidelines for developing the quality of learners into excellent religious heirs of Dhammachak Wittaya School. Qualitative research methodology was employed with data collection by In-depth interviews with 15 participants, a study of the guidelines consisting of 5 people through In-depth interviews, and a guidelines proposal with 7 key informants in focus group discussion.

         The findings were as follows: 1) The student's condition of excellent religious heirs of Dhammachak Wittaya School under Satun Provincial Office of Buddhism consists of the following: 1.1) good religious heirs and good citizen of society, 1.2) having knowledge and skills in Buddhist academics, 1.3) pursuing knowledge, complying with monastic regulations and discipline, 1.4) possessing good health both physically and mentally, 1.5) knowing how to maintain the religious property, conserve and enhance the environment, 1.6) being proud to be a monk and loyal to the nation, religion, and the king, and 1.7) being creative and promoting and supporting practices for the prosperity of communities and society. 2) Guidelines for the development of learners' quality into excellent religious heirs of Dhammachak Wittaya School under Satun Provincial Office of Buddhism consist of practical steps as follows: 2.1) problem analysis, 2.2) development planning, 2.3) organizing development activities, 2.4) collection and analysis of data, 2.5) summarizing the development results by preparing a report on student quality development results to present to relevant stakeholders. And 3) Based on the experts' examination of the Guidelines for developing quality learners into excellent religious heirs of Dhammachak Wittaya School under the Satun Provincial Office of Buddhism, it was found to be appropriate, possible, and useful. It can be applied as a guideline for developing the quality of learners that is appropriate to the school context.
