SUSTAINNABLE COMMUNITY FOREST MANAGEMENT STRATEGIES IN NONG HAN DISTRICT UDON THANI PROVINCE

Abstract
The objectives of this research are 1) to study the environmental conditions of sustainable community forest management in Nong Han District area, Udon Thani Province 2) To study guidelines for sustainable community forest management in Nong Han District area, Udon Thani Province 3) To create a sustainable community forest management strategy in Nong Han District area, Udon Thani Province. The population are the committees of Ban Nong Ta Klai Community Forest, 40 people. The sample group is 36 people, obtained from opening ready-made tables of Crazy and Morgan. For purposive sampling. This research is used percentage statistics and SWOT techniques for data analysis and explained according to the research concept.
The results of the research found that:
- It was found that the analysis of the community forest management environment by analyzing the environment, internal factors and external factors is the strength of having a community and traditional culture, creating a common sense of maintaining and using balance. See the importance of conserving community forests by jointly taking care of the entire system. Including the community being able to access information more easily and quickly. Weaknesses: People in the community have little understanding of community forest management among local people. The community master plan is unclear regarding natural resource management. Tools used to determine forest area boundaries. There is a lack of coordination in requesting support from other agencies. As a result, the budget that has been supported for operations is insufficient. An opportunity for relevant agencies or network partners to pay attention and support, integrate work, including supporting budgets, knowledge, and policies of the agencies that originate. Opportunity to support communities in managing community resources for sustainable use. Obstacles: Lack of policies that promote and support participation in community forest management seriously. The policy framework also does not support decentralization, including access to management and utilization of regulations by people outside the community who often violate the rules and regulations of community forest management. Political conflict problems that change frequently
- Guidelines for sustainable community forest management Opinions on community forest management guidelines. The proportion that most agrees with the 4 approaches to sustainable community forest management, accounting for 100.00 percent, is 100.00%, namely Guideline 1: To promote community awareness of participation in community forest management. Guideline 2: To promote network creation for all members to participate in community forest management. Guideline 3: To support and reward communities that have continuous and strong recovery and management. Guideline 4: To promote community forest management as a source of food, shelter, and use for people in the community. Maximum benefits from using community forests.
- Strategy for sustainable community forest management 1) Promote people's ideas, knowledge, understanding, and collective consciousness about sustainable community forest management by enhancing people's knowledge and understanding in caring for natural resources and the environment and create value Make people in the area see the importance of community forests and have a sense of love for forests and protecting them from forest fires. 2) Develop the potential of the community forest committee and people in the area in managing community forests sustainably to have knowledge about Community forest management and create a new generation to carry on the spirit of maintaining sustainable community forests. 3) Develop a sustainable community forest management system. By promoting community forest management under the participation of people in the community and support community forests as a rich source of food. 4) Develop a communication system suitable for sustainable community forest management by supporting knowledge. Appropriate technology regarding sustainable community forest management and develop and improve communication for people in the area to use modern communication equipment. 5) Create a network of cooperation with various network partners. By expanding the network further and create motivation for the community to create continuous cooperation between relevant agencies.
