Abstract

     This research aims to investigate the complying actions with teacher profession standard criteria performed by teachers in a primary school in Bang-Yai District, Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization. The sample group consisted of 76 teachers. The research tool was questionnaires whose content validity was checked by 5 experts. The reliability was 0.89. The data were analyzed by using percentage, means and standard deviation.


    To comply with the teacher profession criteria, the standards are divided into 12 topics. They are concerning about doing academic activity related to teacher profession development, making a decision by considering effects occurring to learners, keepingimproving learning with all the teachers’ potential, making lesson plans practical, always developing an effective instructional media, managing teaching and learning focusing on the permanent result, systematically reporting the results of learners’ quality development, being a role model for learners, creatively cooperating with other staffs in the school, creatively
cooperating with other peoplein the community, seeking and utilizing information to develop themselves and creating opportunities for learners in every situation.


    The research found that the complying actions with teacher profession standard criteriaperformed by teachers in a primary school in Bang-Yai District, Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization were rated high in overall picture. When considering each standard, it was found that 7 standards were rated high. They were the sixth standard – managing teaching and learning focusing on the permanent result; the fourth standard – making lesson plans practical; the ninth standard – creatively cooperating with other staffs in the school; the tenth standard – creatively cooperating with other people in the community; the first standard – doing academic activity related to teacher profession development; the twelfth standard – creating opportunities for learners in every situation; the seventh standard – systematically reporting the results of learners’ quality development. In addition, 5 standards were rated moderate. They were the eighth standard – being a role model for learners; the second standard – making a decision by considering effects occurring to learners; the fifth standard – always developing an effective instructional media and the third standard – keeping improving learning with all the teachers’ potential, respectively.
