PUBLIC OPINIONS ON THE ADMINISTRATIVE PARTICIPATION BASED ON GOOD GOVERNANCE PRINCIPLE OF DINCHI SUB-DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION, KHAM MUANG DISTRICT, KALASIN PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study the level of the public opinions on the administrative  participation based on good governance principle of Dinchi Sub-district Administrative Organization, Kham Muang district, Kalasin province, and compare the public opinions on the administrative  participation based on good governance principle of Dinchi Sub-district Administrative Organization, Kham Muang district, Kalasin province classified by personal factors as gender, age, education level, occupations and income. The populations of this research were 7,191 persons who lived in the area of Dinchi Sub-district, Kham Muang district, Kalasin province. The sample size was obtained by Taro  Yamane’s formula. The sample were 397 respondents and were selected by accidental sampling. The tool for data collecting was a questionnaire by surveying. The data were analyzed by frequency, mean, standard deviation, and hypotheses test by t-test, F-test.

          The research findings were as follows:

1)   The personal data of the respondents revealed that the most were females 155 persons or 39.0 %, age between 40-60 years old 250 persons or 63.0 %, education level at vocation/undergraduate or bachelor degree 156 persons or 39.3 %, occupations were freelance/ selling 144 persons or 36.3 %, and income between 15,000-25,000 baht 223 persons or 56.2 %.

2)   The public opinions on the administrative  participation based on good governance principle of Dinchi Sub-district Administrative Organization, Kham Muang district, Kalasin province, were, overall at a high level (=3.74, S.D. = 0.34). Considering each aspect individually revealed that all aspect were at a high level. The highest mean was participation (= 3.87, S.D. = 0.43), followed by transparency (=3.79, S.D. = 0.42), rule of morality (=3.77, S.D. = 0.44), rule of law (=3.68, S.D. = 0.52), responsibility (=3.67, S.D. = 0.40),  and the least was value of money or efficiency (=3.63, S.D. = 0.42)

3)   The comparisons on the public opinions on the administrative  participation based on good governance principle of Dinchi Sub-district Administrative Organization, Kham Muang district, Kalasin province classified by personal factors, as gender, age, education level, occupations, and income were, overall found to have no difference.
