QUALITY OF WORK LIFE OF PERSONAL IN U-THONG HOSPITAL U-THONG DISTRICT, SUPHANBURI PROVINCE

Abstract

         The objectives of this research were to study the level of the quality of work life of personal in U-Thong Hospital, U-Thong district, Suphanburi province, and compare the quality of work life of personal in U-Thong Hospital, U-Thong district, Suphanburi province classified by personal factors as gender, age, education level, work experience, and income. The populations of this research were 468 persons who were personnel of U-Thong Hospital, U-Thong district, Suphanburi province. The sample size was obtained by Krejcie & Morgan’ table, 1970. The sample were 214 respondents and were selected by purposive sampling. The tool for data collecting was a questionnaire by surveying. The data were analyzed by frequency, mean, standard deviation, and hypotheses test by t-test, F-test.


The research findings were as follows:


1)  The personal data of the respondents revealed that the most were females 116 persons or 54.2 %, age between 20-40 years old 125 persons or 58.4 %, education level at undergraduate 199 persons or 937.0 %, work experience between 11-20 years 160 persons or 74.8 %, and income between 15,000-25,000 baht 189 persons or 88.3 %.


2)   The level of the quality of work life of personal in U-Thong Hospital, U-Thong district, Suphanburi province, were, overall at a high level ( gif.latex?\bar{X}= 3.49, S.D.=.15) Considering each aspect individually revealed that the highest mean was the hygiene and safety environment at a high level ( gif.latex?\bar{X}= 4.04, S.D.=.40), followed by the relevant to social benefits at a high level      ( gif.latex?\bar{X}= 3.98, S.D.=.40), and the least was the democracy in organization at a moderate level ( gif.latex?\bar{X}= 2.91, S.D.=.45), respectively.


3)   The comparisons of the quality of work life of personal in U-Thong Hospital, U-Thong district, Suphanburi province classified by personal factors as gender, age, education level, work experience, and income were found to have no difference in the level of the quality of work  life  of personal.
