Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the influence of supply chain risk management on the business continuity of transport operators in Nong Khai Province. The sample consisted of 335 road transport entrepreneurs. The research instrument was a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire, yielding an Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) index of 0.67–1.00 and Cronbach's alpha coefficients of 0.81–0.89. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis.

The findings revealed that the overall levels of opinions on both supply chain risk management and business continuity were high. Building relationships and collaboration with partners, alongside maintaining trust, yielded the highest means. Hypothesis testing indicated that the four dimensions of supply chain risk management collectively explained 74.4% of the variance in business continuity (R2 = 0.744) at a 0.05 significance level. Risk identification and assessment exerted the highest positive influence on business continuity (ß = 0.360), followed by cost risk management, building relationships and collaboration with partners, and risk information sharing, respectively. Academically, this study confirms that amid volatile customs regulations and railway competition in border logistics, proactive risk identification acts as the most critical structural mechanism driving supply chain resilience, thereby securing organizational stability and maintaining cross-border transport continuity.
