Organizational Culture and Job Satisfaction Affecting Organizational Commitment of Business Sector’s Employees in Bangkok

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the influence of organizational culture and job satisfaction on the organizational commitment of employees in the business sector in Bangkok. The population is Thai employees working in the business sector in the Bangkok area and the sample size is 385. The research tool for this study is a questionnaire. The researcher collected data via online media using a convenience and purposive random sampling method. Data analysis in the first part will be analyzed with descriptive statistics including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. After that, the second part was analyzed with inferential statistics, including correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results found that the mean values ​​of the organizational culture, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment were at a high level. The results of the multiple regression analysis found that two independent variables, organizational culture and job satisfaction, have a significant positive influence on organizational commitment. The researcher recommends that business executives at all levels should give importance to creating an organizational culture that supports highly efficient human resource management. This will result in higher organizational commitment. In addition, executives should develop human resource management activities or programs that promote job satisfaction among employees in all parts of the organization. Such development will have a positive effect on building employee commitment to the organization.
