THE DEVELOPMENT OF THAI LANGUAGE LESSONS PLAN ABOUT READING AND WRITING DIPHTHONGS USING SKILL EXERCISES FOR PRATOMSUKSA 3 STUDENTS

Abstract

The purposes of article were to develop an effective the lessons plan in accordance with the 80/80 standard, to find the effectiveness index (E.I.) of the lessons plan, to compare the ability to read and write diphthongs between before and after studying, and to study the satisfaction with the lessons plan. The samples used in the research were pratomsuksa 3 students at Mathayom Chulamani Sisaket School under the office of private education promotion, Sisaket province who were studying in the first semester of the academic year 2563, 30 students which were obtained by using cluster random sampling using the classroom as a random unit. The research tools were the thai language lessons plan about reading and writing diphthongs using skill exercises for pratomsuksa 3 students, the skill exercises for reading and writing diphthongs, the test measures the ability to read and write diphthongs, and the satisfaction questionnaire of pratomsuksa 3 students towards lessons plan. The statistics used to analyze the data were mean, standard deviation and test the hypothesis with t-test (Dependent Samples). The research findings were as follow: The lesson plan was the efficiency criteria of 86.63/83.17 which higher than the set criteria of 80/80. The effectiveness index (E.I.) of the lessons plan was 0.6710, meaning that student’s knowledge increased by 67.10 percent. The students are able to read and write diphthongs using skill exercises after school was significantly higher than before at the .01 level, and the students were satisfied with the lessons plan at a high level.
