The Development of Phonics Standard Instructional Innovation of Herbart Method to Encourage English Pronunciation of the Primary 1 Teachers in Pranburi Group

Abstract

The objectives of this research were (1) to develop of phonics standard instructional innovation of Herbart method to encourage English pronunciation of the primary 1 teachers in Pranburi group to be effective according to criteria 80/80. (2) to compare achievements before and after using the phonics standard instructional innovation of Herbart method. And (3) to study satisfaction of the primary 1 teachers in Pranburi group to the phonics standard instructional innovation of Herbart method. It’s an experimental research. The sample group is the primary 1 teachers did not graduate with a major in English but was responsible for teaching English in Pranburi group at the primary educational service area office Prachuap Khiri Khan 2 amount 14 teachers. The Tools used the phonics standard instructional innovation of Herbart method, Achievement test and satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics used to analyze the data were percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test. The research results consisted of (1) The phonics standard instructional innovation of Herbart method to encourage English pronunciation of the primary 1 teachers in Pranburi group to be efficient 80/85. (2) achievements after using the phonics standard instructional innovation of Herbart method higher than before using innovation. And (3) The satisfaction of the primary 1 teachers in Pranburi group to the phonics standard instructional innovation of Herbart method overall, it was at a high level.
