Abstract

The purposes of this research were to (1) study the purchasing behavior of dog and cat owners towards pet ice cream; (2) examine the factors influencing the purchasing decision of dog and cat owners for pet ice cream in Nakhon Pathom province; and (3) develop a business plan for a pet ice cream Shop. A quantitative research approach was employed, with a sample size of 404 respondents from Nakhon Pathom province calculated using the Taro Yamane formula. Data was collected using Google Forms and analyzed using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The research results found that (1) A majority of dog and cat owners had purchased pet ice cream for their pets. The primary reason was to reward their pets. Popular brands included DOG DUK DIK and Wiggly Buddies. (2) Factors affecting the decision to buy ice cream for pets include Product: The product has quality and nutritional value that is suitable for pets. Price: The price is suitable for the quality and quantity of the product. Place : It can be ordered online(Facebook, Line, Shopee, Lazada). Promotion: There are special discounts for customers who are members. People : The staff are friendly and have good manners in answering customer questions. Process: The ordering system is safe. Physical evidence : Consumers value freezer displays that provide detailed information about the pet-friendly ingredients used in the product. (3) The business will require an initial investment of 1.2 million baht with a payback period of 1 year 3 months.
