Abstract
This research has two main objectives: (1) to study the necessary data for developing a database system to be used in the management of educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the Office of Primary Education Area, Petchaburi District 2, and (2) to propose guidelines for developing a database system to be used in the management of educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the Office of Primary Education Area, Petchaburi District 2. This research is quantitative in nature and involved a sample of 281 individuals, including administrators and teachers in educational institutions under the jurisdiction of the Office of Primary Education Area, Petchaburi District 2. The research tools used for data collection included questionnaires and statistical analysis methods, such as percentages, means, and standard deviations. The research findings revealed that: (1) in the general management domain, the most necessary data were related to the collection of information about the internal and external environments of the educational institutions; in the personnel domain, the most necessary data were related to the collection of information about the competency assessment process and skills; in the academic domain, the most necessary data were related to the collection of information about rules and regulations related to academic management; in the budget domain, the most necessary data were related to the collection of information about budget allocation for each section, with the highest average overall agreement; and (2) the database system development should start with the necessary database design, selecting the appropriate database system, developing the system for user convenience, enhancing security measures, providing training to staff, and monitoring and making improvements as needed.
