Abstract

The digital transparency revolution has driven a systemic transformation in educational administration, shifting schools from document-based management toward data-driven governance that is open, verifiable, and participatory. This article examines the use of social media to enhance good governance in educational administration, drawing on principles of good governance, concepts of digital transparency, the roles of social media, and strategic approaches for practical implementation.
The findings indicate that social media serves as a key governance mechanism by facilitating two-way communication, enabling real-time information disclosure, and strengthening public trust. Furthermore, the article proposes five strategic directions: establishing digital governance standards, enhancing the digital competencies of educational personnel, developing open data systems, applying artificial intelligence to assess transparency, and fostering online community networks.
The study also highlights the pivotal role of school administrators as digital transformation leaders who integrate policy, technology, and organizational culture. It further advances the conceptual understanding that digital transparency should be viewed as an ecosystem of digital educational governance, integrating technological innovation, strategic management, and leadership capacity. Such an approach is essential for advancing Thai schools toward becoming transparent, ethical, accountable, and sustainably trusted organizations.
