Guideline for The Development of Innovative Leadership Among Administrators Under The Secondary Educational Service Area Office, Prachuap Khiri Khan

Abstract

This research aimed (1) to examine the current state of innovative leadership among school administrators and (2) to propose guidelines for developing innovative leadership among school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Prachuap Khiri Khan. The sample consisted of 272 teachers and educational personnel under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Prachuap Khiri Khan in the 2024 academic year, selected through simple random sampling. In addition, six experts in innovation or technology were purposively selected as key informants. The research instruments included a questionnaire and an interview form. Quantitative data were analyzed using mean and standard deviation, while qualitative data from the interviews were analyzed through content analysis.
The findings revealed that: (1) the overall level of innovative leadership among school administrators under the Secondary Educational Service Area Office Prachuap Khiri Khan was at a high level (X = 4.32). When considering each dimension, the aspect with the highest mean score was innovative vision (X = 4.49), which was also at a high level, whereas the aspect with the lowest mean score was motivation building (X = 3.87), though it remained at a high level. (2) The proposed guidelines for developing innovative leadership among school administrators include promoting continuous learning and self-development among administrators, enhancing innovative and design thinking skills, fostering an organizational culture that embraces change, utilizing technology as a tool for administration and learning, establishing collaborative networks both within and outside schools, and encouraging and supporting teachers to explore and learn new knowledge.
