A Guideline for the Development of Unity in Phrapariyattidhamma Educational Management, Dhamma Section, According to Sārānīyadhamma for the Sangha in Phranakorn Si Ayuttaya Province

Abstract

This article research has the following objectives: 1) Study the state of unity in phrapariyattidhamma educational management, dhamma section, of the sangha in Phranakorn Si Ayuttaya province; 2) Study methods for development of unity in phrapariyattidhamma educational management, dhamma section, according to Sārānīyadhamma for the sangha in Phranakorn Si Ayuttaya province; and 3) Propose guidelines for development of unity in phrapariyattidhamma educational management, dhamma section, according to Sārānīyadhamma for the sangha in Phranakorn Si Ayuttaya province. The mixed research methods were used in the study. The quantitative data were collected by online questionnaires from 225 monks in Phranakorn Si Ayuttaya province and analyzed by mean and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by in-depth interview-forms with 5 key-informants and then analyzed by content analysis. The results of the study found that:
1) The state of unity in phrapariyattidhamma educational management, dhamma section, of the sangha in Phranakorn Si Ayuttaya province is generally at a high level. When examining various aspects from most to least, it is found that the curriculum, teachers, teaching management, use of media and equipment, and coordination are rated highly, with the lowest average score being in assessment and evaluation, in that order.
2) The methods for development of unity in phrapariyattidhamma educational management, dhamma section, according to Sārānīyadhamma for the sangha in Phranakorn Si Ayuttaya province reveal that the media and teachers are at a very good level. However, there should be further study on creating teaching aids and increasing publicity in various areas. Developing diverse formats, increasing the number of teachers to sufficient levels, and consolidating teachers to teach within the same district to address the problem of teacher shortages are also recommended.
3) The guidelines for development of unity in phrapariyattidhamma educational management, dhamma section, according to Sārānīyadhamma for the sangha in Phranakorn Si Ayuttaya province, specifically regarding assessment and evaluation: The current budget is insufficient for operations, such as travel expenses. There should be a serious and urgent review of the budget allocated for promoting the education of monks to ensure. It is adequate for sustaining their monastic life and effectively supporting society in the present era.
