This study aimed to:1) examine the level of demand for communication through information technology among school administrators under the jurisdiction of Amphawa Subdistrict Municipality, Samut Songkhram Province, and 2) investigate the factors affecting such demand. A quantitative research method was employed. The population consisted of teachers and educational personnel in schools under the Amphawa Subdistrict Municipality. The sample size was 100 participants, selected using stratified sampling. The research instrument was a five-point Likert scale questionnaire, with a reliability coefficient (Cronbach's alpha) of 0.94. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis. The research results revealed: 1) The overall level of administrators' opinions on the need for communication using information technology was high, with a mean score of 4.17 (S.D. = 0.37). This indicates that information technology can significantly improve school management efficiency, reduce redundant paperwork, and promote rapid and accurate decision-making. 2) The use and management of information technology for education and the promotion of its use had a factor of 0.583, with a predictive power of 58.30%.
The research results revealed that key factors influencing the need for information technology use include: 1) policies and support from the parent organization; 2) administrators' technological knowledge and understanding; and 3) the readiness of equipment and communication systems. Developing and promoting the use of information technology at the school administrator level can enhance effective management, promote rapid internal communication, and create sustainable systems that align with the Smart Education policy.
