Abstract

This research paper aimed to examine the influence of quality of work life (QWL) on the job performance of security staff at Phithak Sapphathit Chiang Mai Co., Ltd. The research employed a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional survey design. The sample consisted of 40 security employees. Data were collected through a five-point rating scale questionnaire, validated for content accuracy and reliability with a Cronbach’s alpha coefficient of 0.793. Multiple regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses.

The results revealed that all eight dimensions of QWL - appropriate compensation and welfare, safe and healthy work environment, opportunities for career development, participation in decision-making, job security and recognition, workplace relationships, work-life balance, and meaning of work - had positive and statistically significant effects on job performance. The model explained 65.2% of the variance in performance (R² = 0.652, Sig. = 0.000). The findings highlight that improving employees’ quality of work life in all dimensions not only enhances motivation and job satisfaction but also strengthens organizational commitment and overall work performance. These insights provide a valuable foundation for developing sustainable human resource management policies in the security service industry.
