A STUDY OF THE SITUATION OF SAFETY MEASURES FOR ORGANIZATIONS (COVID-FREE SETTING) TYPE 1 MARKET IN PATHUM THANI

Abstract

This study was mixed methods research using quantitative research method as the

primary and qualitative research method as a supplementary by applying SWOT Analysis

concepts and theories. To study the situation of safety measures for organizations (COVID Free Setting) for fresh markets consisting of 1) Covid-free environmental management 2) Covid-free personnel and 3) COVID-Free Customers in type 1 market in PATHUM THANI and to prepare recommendations for surveillance and prevention of COVID-19 for the Type 1 market, in PATHUM THANI . The samples were collected from a purposive sampling, which is a type 1 market with 7 markets where COVID-19 cases were found and 7 market executives. Data were collected using the safety measures for organizations (COVID-free setting) for fresh markets assessment and market executive interviews. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis. The results of the study found that there are 6 markets that have passed all three measures (85.7%). When the measures were classified, it was found that COVID-Free Personnel was the most passed measure in 5 markets (72.4%). And found that the market has the plan to manage and improve the market according to the advice of the officer. Market vendors wear masks incorrectly which increases the chances of contracting COVID-19. The market should strictly adhere to the safety measures for the organization (COVID-free setting) and be monitored by local government organizations in the area to prevent the COVID-19 pandemic, and to enhance the situation of emerging infectious diseases and re-emerging infectious diseases. And to further enhance the quality of life of the people.
