In the era of a global economy driven by globalization, national economies can no longer operate in isolation. Trade, investment, and international politics are profoundly interconnected. This academic article aims to analyze the roles of trade and political leaders in steering the direction of the 21st-century global economy. It focuses on the strategies and adaptive trends of leaders in both the public and private sectors in navigating economic, political, and modern technological challenges. The study is conducted through the lens of relevant frameworks, including Globalization Theory, World Politics Theory, Constructivism, and Free Trade Theory. In general, there are many sub-theories of world politics that have a significant influence role in defining leadership roles in the contemporary era. The findings reveal that a critical factor influencing the global economy is the policy-making decisions of leaders—such as free trade initiatives, protectionism, and foreign direct investment-which directly shape the economic future of nations and regions. Furthermore, the context of global technological shifts has restructured production, consumption, and business models worldwide, requiring leaders to develop flexible and sustainable management approaches. Leaders also face complex social issues, including economic inequality, climate change, and the pressures of a global recession. The future of the global economy, therefore, depends on the ability of leaders to balance domestic interests with international cooperation to promote sustainable growth. The article of academic concludes that modern trade and political leaders must possess a strategic vision that integrates technology, economic policy, and global collaboration to drive the world economy toward stable and sustainable growth.
