An Analysis of The Buddhist Prophecy Affecting the People's Way of Life in Ban Tin Sub-District, Mueang Phrae District, Phrae Province

Abstract

This research the objectives are 1) to study the history of Buddhist predictions that appear in Theravada scriptures. 2) to study Buddhist predictions that are consistent with the lives of people in Ban Thin sub-district. Mueang Phrae District, Phrae Province and 3) to analyze Buddhist predictions that are consistent with the lives of the people in Ban Thin Subdistrict. Mueang Phrae District, Phrae Province, uses qualitative research methods (Qualitative Research) by studying documents. and in-depth interviews (In-depth-interviews) 15 people in the area and analyzed according to the objectives.

Mueang Phrae District, Phrae Province has adopted the principles and teachings of Buddhism. namely, the 4 principles of Secular Dhamma as a guideline for conduct and to encourage youth and society to adopt the principles of good citizenship as a guideline for living in a household.

This conflicts with the traditional Thai culture where Buddhism teaches to be grateful to one's parents, especially the Buddha's teaching about the 6 directions, the roles and responsibilities that society must perform towards one another, even though in Buddhist predictions this will have an impact. society widely But because of the teachings of Buddhism, every child must have gratitude to their parents and teachers by connecting with the good cultural traditions of Thailand.
