THE PARTICIPATION OF TEACHERS IN PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT AT SCHOOLSUNDER BURIRAM PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 2

Abstract
The purposes of this research were: 1) to study the level of teachers’ participation in personnel administration in schools under Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, and 2) to compare teachers’ participation in personnel administration classified by work experience and school size. The sample consisted of 331 teachers selected through stratified random sampling. The research instrument was a five-point rating scale questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.98. Data were analyzed using percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and one-way analysis of variance. The results showed that: 1. Teachers' participation in personnel administration, both overall and in each individual aspect, was at a high level. The aspect of thinking and decision-making had the highest mean, followed by the implementation and the evaluation aspect, respectively. 2. A comparison of teachers’ participation classified by work experience revealed that overall participation was significantly different at the .05 level, with teachers having 10+ years of experience showing higher scores. 3. A comparison by school size revealed that overall participation was not significantly different. However, the thinking and decision-making aspect and the planning aspect were significantly different at the .05 level.
