Main Article Content
Abstract
This research employs a qualitative research method to study the role of experiential marketing in influencing the purchasing behavior and repeat purchase intention of supermarket customers in Bangkok and its surrounding provinces. The research framework is based on Schmitt's experiential marketing dimension, which comprises sensory, emotional, cognitive, action, and association experiences. These will be analyzed to analyze their relationship to customer purchasing decisions and repeat purchase intentions. The study population consists of customers who regularly use supermarkets in Bangkok and nearby provinces such as Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, and Samut Prakan. The target group is customers aged 20 years and older who have experience shopping at supermarkets at least twice a week. Research participants were selected using purposive sampling to ensure they have direct experiences relevant to the research objectives. This research involved interviewing 30 participants to obtain sufficient data. The research objectives were:
- To explore consumer experiences arising from using convenience stores in Bangkok and its surrounding provinces.
- To study consumer perceptions of experiential marketing components in terms of sensory, emotional, cognitive, and participation aspects in the context of convenience stores.
- To analyze the role of experiential marketing in influencing the purchasing process.
- To explain the meaning and interpretation of consumer experiences and their impact on purchasing behavior and repeat purchase intention in convenience stores.
This qualitative study indicates that experiential marketing plays a significant role in shaping consumer purchasing decisions and repeat purchase intention in convenience stores in Bangkok and its surrounding areas.
