ORGANIZATIONAL HEALTH AFFECTS THE PERFORMANCE OF THE ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

Organizational health refers to an organization's ability to operate in order to achieve its goals or vision and respond to changes in the external environment. Healthy organizations tend to experience significantly increased profitability. Organizational performance refers to the actual output or results measured against goals or objectives. Organizational performance depends on the ability of leaders to work together. Organizational performance is the level at which an organization operates using its information, financial, and human resources. Performance measurement includes financial performance, operational efficiency, employee satisfaction, key performance indicators (KPIs), the four-pronged approach, benchmarking, financial analysis, and corporate social responsibility reporting. The study found that healthy organizations perform better than the top 25% of companies in the organizational health group, as measured by the Organizational Health Index (OHI). Performance across various dimensions, from leadership and accountability to innovation, collaboration, and external focus, results in increased sales growth, higher profits, and improved return on investment. The health of public sector organizations leads to improved performance, and healthy organizations have a statistically significant positive correlation with organizational performance (p ≤ 0.05). Organizations that prioritize organizational health outperform their competitors. For example, companies with excellent organizational health can generate three times more returns for shareholders than other companies. Healthy organizations not only yield financial returns, but they also attract top talent, build lasting customer loyalty, and demonstrate that organizations with strong organizational health indicators outperform their competitors by more than three times.
