A DEVELOPMENT OF ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION STRATEGIES TO ENHANCE ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE OF PRINCESS UBOLRATANA RAJAKANYA'S COLLEGE PHATTHALUNG SCHOOL

Abstract
This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) which The objectives of the study were: (1) to investigate the current conditions and analyze the needs for developing academic administration strategies; (2) to develop academic administration strategies to enhance academic excellence; (3) to examine the results of implementing the developed strategies; and (4) to evaluate the effectiveness of the developed strategies. The target group consisted of 138 teachers and educational personnel and 15 members of the school board committee, totaling 153 participants. The research was conducted during the 2024 academic year. Research instruments included questionnaires and evaluation forms. Data were collected using a mixed-method approach through questionnaires and focus group discussions. Quantitative data were analyzed using percentage, mean, and standard deviation, while qualitative data were analyzed through content analysis.
The research findings revealed that: (1) the overall current conditions of academic administration at the school were at a moderate level ( = 3.42), while the overall needs for development were at the highest level ( = 4.50); (2) the evaluation of the developed strategy, namely the PURP Academic Excellent academic administration strategy, indicated that its appropriateness and feasibility were at the highest level ( = 4.63 and = 4.65, respectively); (3) the results of implementing the developed academic administration strategies to promote academic excellence were at the highest level of success ( = 4.52) and (4) the overall implementation of the developed strategies based on the academic administration framework toward excellence achieved success at the highest level ( = 4.61). Furthermore, the synthesis of users’ opinions regarding the benefits of the developed strategies indicated that the strategies possess strong academic value, contribute significantly to the educational field, and can be effectively applied in educational institutions.
