THE CREATION OF PERFORMING ARTS FOR COMMUNITY SOLIDARITY IN BANGKHAE DISTRICT

Abstract
This research article aims to create a performing arts production to promote unity within the community. Data were collected from 10–15 voluntary participants from the community, including youth, working-age adults, and the elderly. Quantitative data were analyzed using statistical methods with a software package, with the level of significance set at 0.05. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis, involving data categorization, issue and trend analysis, and conclusion drawing.
The research findings revealed that:
- The creative process of the performance (relationship-building, design, rehearsal, and reflection) enabled genuine participation among members and effectively reflected community issues.
- Ten rehearsal sessions helped participants improve their performance skills, teamwork, and understanding of their roles.
- Participants demonstrated behavioral changes, including increased confidence, improved teamwork, greater acceptance of others’ opinions, and respect for rules.
- Group cohesion was at a high level (mean = 4.48), with the group atmosphere rated highest in terms of friendliness and warmth.
- At the community level, intergenerational relationships were strengthened, communication increased, and a shared sense of community ownership was developed.
