GUIDELINES FOR PROMOTING PARTICIPATION IN THE DEVLOPMENT OF BAN SAM KHAO MOTHER OF THE LAND FUND VILLAGE, OB TOM SUBDISTRICT, SAM KO DISTRICT, ANGTHONG PROVINCE

Abstract

    This research article aimed 1) to study the public participation in the development of Ban Sam Khao mother of the land fund village, Ob Tom subdistrict, Sam Ko district, Angthong province, and 2) To propose guidelines for promoting public participation in the development of Ban Sam Khao mother
of the land fund village, Ob Tom subdistrict, Sam Ko district, Angthong province.
This research is a combination of quantitative and qualitative research, divided into 2 step: Step 1: Quantitative research, the population of 140 head of household are members of Ban Sam Khao mother of the land fund village. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire with a reliability coefficient of 0.90.
The data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation. Step 2: Qualitative research presents guidelines for promoting public participation in the development of Ban Sam Khao mother of the land fund village, Ob Tom subdistrict, Sam Ko district, Angthong province. The main informants 9 people. who were purposively selected. The research instrument was an interview form, and data was analyzed by content analysis. and present descriptive data.

           The findings revealed that: 1) The level of public participation in the development of Ban Sam Khao mother of the land fund village, Ob Tom subdistrict, Sam Ko district, Angthong province was found to be high. The public participation for benefits were the highest aspect. Meanwhile, the public participation for evaluation was the lowest aspect; 2) There were guidelines and suggestions for promoting public participation in the development of Ban Sam Khao mother of the land fund village, Ob Tom subdistrict, Sam Ko district, Angthong province, namely (1) There should be multiple channels for disseminating the operational outcomes, specially through online platforms, (2) Recommended that internal audits covering financial, accounting and inventory, with an emphasis on member participation, and (3) the meeting should be arranged to have breakout sessions where members can propose their ideas before consolidating them for the plenary session.
