THE EVALUATION OF INHERITED PROFESSIONS OF LOCAL WISDOM MEMBERS PROJECT OF WATSRIMONGKOL SCHOOL UNDER NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PRIMARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to 1) Evaluate the context dimension, 2) Evaluate the process dimension, and 3)Evaluate the outcome dimension of the “Local Wisdom for Career Development” project at Wat Srimongkol School, under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, The evaluation utilizes the CPO's Evaluation Model (Context, Process, and Output). Quantitative data were collected from a sample group of 140 participants, while qualitative data were gathered from 9 key informants.

The research instruments used were questionnaires and interview forms. The statistical methods used for data analysis included mean and standard deviation. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis.

The Research findings were as follows :

1. Context Dimension

According to the opinions of school administrators and teachers, the overall context of the “Local Wisdom for Career Development” project at Wat Srimongkol School, under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, was rated at the highest level. When considered by specific aspects, the project’s necessity had the highest average score, followed by the clarity of project objectives, readiness and available resources, while project feasibility received the lowest average score.

1. Process Dimension

According to the opinions of school administrators and teachers, the overall process of the “Local Wisdom for Career Development” project at Wat Srimongkol School, under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, was rated at the highest level. When analyzed in detail, the highest average scores were found in project planning and project improvement and development, followed by the implementation of project activities. Project evaluation received the lowest average score.

1. Outcome Dimension

According to the opinions of school administrators, teachers, students, and parents, the overall outcome of the “Local Wisdom for Career Development” project at Wat Srimongkol School, under the Nakhon Si Thammarat Primary Educational Service Area Office 1, was rated at the highest level. When considered by specific items, students' acquisition of knowledge and vocational skills through teaching and learning had the highest average score, while students' real-life experiences through hands-on practice had the lowest average score.
