APPLICATION OF BUDDHIST PRINCIPLES TO PROMOTE LEADERSHIP OF LOCAL POLITICIANS IN LUM KHAO SUBDISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE ORGANIZATION KHOK SAMRONG DISTRICT, LOPBURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the leadership level of local politicians in Lum Khao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, 2) compare public opinions on the leadership of local politicians in Lum Khao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, and 3) apply Buddhist principles to promote political leadership of the executives of Lum Khao Subdistrict Administrative Organization. The research methodology was a mixed-methods quantitative research using a questionnaire. The sample consisted of 242 people aged 18 and over in Lum Khao Subdistrict, Khok Samrong District, Lopburi Province. Data were analyzed using statistics, frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and t-test and F-test. Qualitative research interviewed 9 key informants and analyzed descriptive content.

          The research results found that 1) The overall leadership level of local politicians in Lum Khao Subdistrict Administrative Organization was at a moderate level (\bar{x}= 3.31, S.D. = 0.83). 2) Comparing public opinions on the leadership of local politicians in Lum Khao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, it was found that people with different genders, ages, education levels, and occupations There are no different opinions towards the leadership of local politicians in Lum Khao Subdistrict Administrative Organization, Khok Samrong District, Lop Buri Province. 3) The application of Buddhist principles to promote leadership of local politicians in Lum Khao Subdistrict Administrative Organization according to the 7 Sappurisadhamma found that 1) Dhamma-Awareness, knowing the reality. 2) Atthanu, understanding the objectives of the organization and operating correctly according to the goals. 3) Atthanu, adhering to the principles of morality and ethics. 4) Matthanu, knowing the appropriateness. 5) Kalanu, knowing the value of time. 6) Parisanu, behaving appropriately. 7) Pukkhalanu, understanding the differences in individuals.
