SCHOOL MANAGEMENT TO PROMOTE STUDENT HEALTH UNDER THE OFFICE OF THE LOEI PRIMARY EDUCATION SERVICE AREA 2

Abstract

The objectives of this research are as follows: To study school management practices that promote student health under the Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. To compare personnel opinions on school management for promoting student health, categorized by position, school size, and age, under the Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. To explore guidelines for managing schools to promote student health under the Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample group consisted of 303 personnel from schools under the jurisdiction of the Loei Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The sample was selected using stratified random sampling based on Krejcie and Morgan’s sample size table. The research tools included a 5-point Likert scale questionnaire and a structured interview. The content validity of the tools was assessed with an Index of Item-Objective Congruence (IOC) ranging from 0.80 to 1.00, and the questionnaire had a reliability coefficient of 0.80. Data analysis included descriptive statistics (frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation) and inferential statistics, including t-tests, ANOVA (F-tests), and Scheffé’s method for pairwise comparisons.

  The research findings can be summarized as follows:

  1.The overall level of school management for promoting student health was rated as high. Each specific area of management also received a high rating.

1. A comparison by personnel position showed statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level, both overall and by specific aspects.

  3.A comparison by school size revealed statistically significant differences at the 0.05 level overall, except for the area of environmental management, where no significant difference was found.

2. 5. The proposed guidelines for promoting student health in schools include three key areas. Environmental management: Schools should ensure adequate infrastructure such as electricity, water, roads, and hygienic buildings, avoid proximity to pollution sources, and implement safety measures such as fire extinguishers. Health services: Schools should conduct regular health screenings (e.g., dental, vision, hearing, and drug tests per the “White School” policy) and provide accident insurance. Health education: Schools should use public announcement systems to disseminate health information, encourage students to produce health-related media, and design learning plans that align genuinely with the health education curriculum.
