Abstract

This study aims to compare waste management in urban areas and rural areas, focusing on evaluating the waste management systems, the challenges faced, and the strategies employed in each area. The research utilized data collection methods through surveys and interviews with waste management officials in both urban and rural settings, as well as document analysis related to waste management in various regions. The findings indicate that urban areas have complex waste management systems and developed infrastructure, including the use of advanced technology for sorting and recycling waste, which effectively addresses the high and diverse volume of waste.
