COMMUNICATION FOR BUILDING A COLLABORATIVE NETWORK FOR MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATION AT THUNG SONG TOWN MUNICIPALITY NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract
This research article aimed to 1) study the communication process, 2) examine communication methods, 3) compare communication based on demographic characteristics, and 4) investigate public satisfaction toward communication in building collaborative networks for the administration of Thung Song Municipality. This study employed a quantitative research approach. Data were collected from 394 residents living within the municipal area. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics, including t-test, One-way ANOVA, and stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The findings revealed that:
1) Overall, communication for building collaborative networks was at a high level in both communication processes and communication methods.
2) Two-way communication had a higher mean score than one-way communication.
3) People with different genders, ages, and marital statuses demonstrated significantly different levels of communication at the statistical significance level. Furthermore, length of residence, gender, and educational level could jointly predict communication at 13.3 percent.
4) Public satisfaction toward communication was at a high level.
The results indicated that effective communication and opportunities for public participation are important factors in strengthening collaborative networks and enhancing the administrative efficiency of local government organizations.
