Abstract

Teacherpreneurs are teachers who integrate teaching with the sharing of professional experience, research, invention, creation, planning, and design of activities to transfer expertise, manage, and drive transformative change. They foster collaboration, creating valuable innovations with students that meet the target group, society, and the nation's needs, empowering and enhancing students' potential for success. There are three types of teacherpreneurs: classroom entrepreneurs, consulting entrepreneurs, and business entrepreneurs. Teacherpreneurs must possess competencies in teaching (understanding learners, expertise in instructional design and assessment), social skills (networking and partnership building, collaboration, organization, and communication), personality (innovator and initiative, strategic planning and analysis, commitment and dedication, and opportunity identification), and professional competencies (teacher leadership, entrepreneurial leadership, and lifelong learning and professional development). Entrepreneurial teachers play a leading role in facilitating change, innovating, collaborating, and sharing knowledge to promote continuous self-directed learning.
