A STUDY OF DISCIPLINE AND ETHICS IN VOCATIONAL SCHOOLS UNDER THE PATHUM THANI PROVINCIAL VOCATIONAL EDUCATION OFFICE

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study discipline and ethics in vocational schools under the Pathum Thani Provincial Vocational Education Office, 2) compare the study of discipline and ethics in vocational schools under the Pathum Thani Provincial Vocational Education Office classified by gender, position, and age, and 3) study approaches to promoting discipline and ethics education in vocational schools under the Pathum Thani Provincial Vocational Education Office. The sample consisted of 348 personnel from the Pathum Thani Provincial Vocational Education Office during the 2025 academic year, obtained through stratified random sampling. The research instruments were a 5-level Likert scale questionnaire and semi-structured interviews. Statistical analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and F-test.

The research findings revealed the following:

1. The overall and individual aspects of the study of discipline and ethics in vocational schools under the Office of Vocational Education in Pathum Thani Province were at a high level. When considered individually, the study of discipline and ethics in these schools was at a high level in all aspects.


2. A comparative analysis of the study of discipline and ethics in vocational schools under the Office of Vocational Education in Pathum Thani Province, categorized by gender, position, and age, showed the following:

          2.1 The overall study of discipline and ethics in vocational schools under the Office of Vocational Education in Pathum Thani Province, categorized by gender, differed significantly at the .05 statistical level. In individual aspects, differences were found in the areas of study of discipline and ethics by external agencies and self-study of discipline and ethics. Other aspects showed no significant differences.

          2.2 The study of discipline and ethics in vocational schools under the Office of Vocational Education in Pathum Thani Province, categorized by position, differed significantly both overall and in individual aspects at the .05 statistical level.

          2.3 The study of discipline and ethics in vocational schools under the Office of Vocational Education in Pathum Thani Province, categorized by age, did not differ significantly both overall and in individual aspects.

1. Analysis of data from interviews regarding the guidelines for studying discipline and ethics in vocational schools was conducted. The Vocational Education Office of Pathum Thani Province should implement the following: a systematic approach to vocational education, requiring personnel to study discipline and ethics; school administrators to consider merit based on moral principles; and personnel to train themselves to use reason rather than emotion when faced with
