PARTICIPATION OF COMMUNITY COMMITTEES IN LOCAL DEVELOPMENT ACCORDING TO THE BALA 4 IN KRATHUM BAEN DISTRICT SAMUT SAKHON PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research were 1) to study participation, 2) to compare participation, and 3) to interview suggestions for participation guidelines. It is an integrative research. The quantitative research was done by collecting questionnaires with a sample of 214 people, while for the qualitative research by in-depth interviews with 5 key informants. Quantitative data were analyzed by Frequency distribution, percentage, mean, deviation and hypothesis testing, t-test and F-test, ANOVA statistics and qualitative analysis of contextual content.

The results of the research were as follows: 1) Community committee participation in local development according to the BALA 4 in Kratumban district. Samut Sakhon Province Overall, it was at a high level. when considering side by side Sorted by the average from the highest to the lowest three order as follows. The aspect with the highest average value was the participation in receiving benefits, followed by the participation in decision-making. and participation in operations and the aspect with the lowest mean was the participation in the evaluation. 2) The results of the hypothesis test found that the community committees with different sex, age, education level, occupation and monthly income were Participate in local development according to the BALA 4 in Krathum Baen District. Samut Sakhon Province overall is not different Not in accordance with the assumptions set. 3) Community committees should use the BALA 4 as a guideline to promote participation in every step of the way.
