THE EVALUATION OF THE SPORTS EXCELLENCE PROMOTION PROJECT OF BAN KOH WITTHAYA SCHOOL THE NAKHON SI THAMMARAT SECONDARY EDUCATIONAL SERVICE AREA OFFICE

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) evaluate the context, 2) evaluate the input, 3) evaluate the process, and 4) evaluate the product of the Sports Excellence Promotion Project at Ban Koh Wittaya School, based on the CIPP Model evaluation framework. The informants consisted of school administrators, teachers and educational personnel, school board members, and students, totaling 85 individuals. The instruments used for data collection included evaluation forms for the context, input, process, and product aspects; interview forms; a project knowledge and understanding assessment form; and a satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and content analysis.

          The research results revealed that the overall project evaluation in all aspects was at the highest level. Regarding the context, the project had clear objectives that aligned with educational policies. For the input, the personnel possessed appropriate knowledge and abilities for the operations, and resources were allocated in accordance with the sports activities. The operational process was systematically planned, accompanied by continuous supervision, monitoring, and follow-up. Regarding the product aspect, it was found that students had increased knowledge and understanding of the project, received appropriate sports promotion and support, and won awards in sports competitions. Furthermore, the school administrators, teachers, and students were satisfied with the project at the highest level. In conclusion, the Sports Excellence Promotion Project at Ban Koh Wittaya School was implemented appropriately and efficiently. It successfully developed students' sports potential and can serve as a guideline for developing effective and sustainable sports management in educational institutions.
