PROVIDING INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES TO THE PEOPLE OF THE MUNICIPALITY KHUAN LANG CITY, HAT YAI DISTRICT, SONGKHLA PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this thematic paper are as follows: 1) To study the provision of infrastructure services to the people of Khuan Lang Municipality, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province 2) To study the guidelines for the development of infrastructure services to the people of Khuan Lang Municipality, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. The study employed a mixed methods approach. The sample consisted of 400 residents living in the area of Khuan Lang Municipality and 5 key informants, selected purposively. The research instruments included a questionnaire and in-depth interviews. Data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and descriptive content analysis.

The results showed that: 1) Infrastructure services to the people of Khuan Lang Municipality, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province are at a high level It was found that the electrical and lighting system with the highest average value, followed by the road side. and the side with the lowest average value is the drainage system. The average value is moderate 2) Guidelines for the development of infrastructure services to the people of Khuan Lang Municipality, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province It was found that Khuan Lang Municipality Investigate the condition of roads in all communities in order to repair or improve damaged roads efficiently, Additional lighting should be installed in risky areas such as isolated spots, small alleys in the community and other public areas to increase public safety, Drainage routes should be improved and water obstructions should be removed because during the rainy season, the Khuan Lang area is regularly flooded. Municipalities should increase the capacity of the drainage system, such as dredging drainage canals. Repair drains to increase drainage efficiency more quickly.
