SOCIAL CHANGE: AN INTEGRATIVE FRAMEWORK FROM THE PAST TO THE DIGITAL AGE

Abstract
This study aims to analyze social change from the past to the digital era, using theoretical frameworks from leading sociologists both in Thailand and abroad. The content covers the development of social change through different periods: the ancient-agricultural era, the industrial era, the modern era, and the digital and postmodern era. This article presents an integrated conceptual framework, including structuralism, interactionism, postmodern theory, and technology and society theory, to analyze the continuity and discontinuity of social structures, the changing roles of various institutions, and the emergence of network society and digital identity. Furthermore, it identifies future challenges and trends, such as digital inequality and data vulnerability, to provide a basis for policy recommendations, educational strategies, and community adaptation in the future.
